How To Grow Long And Healthy Nails

Long and healthy looking nails are classy and sexy.  That’s why every woman wants to have them.  The problem is, we were not taught in school how to do it.  This piece would therefore try to help you get those long and healthy nails.

First off, do not use your nail as a tool.  It’s not meant to be a tool.  Doing so would do plenty of damage to it and that’s not what you want.  Another thing, wear gloves whenever you are washing the dishes or doing the laundry.  Chemicals on detergents and other cleaning solution can cause nails to split and peel.  They are that harsh.

Next, do not pick at your cuticles.  A damaged cuticle is an injured nail. Your nails would not be healthy if it is injured right?  While we’re at it, never bite your nails.  It’s just plain wrong to do so.  Trimming your nails and cleaning under it regularly would make it look healthier as you will be pruning off the tip which more often than not is the most damaged part of the nail.

If you have brittle nails, trim it after a bath.  Or, you can soak it in bath oil for 15 minutes or so.  If you need to remove nail polish, do so only about twice a month if you are going to use your run of the mill nail polish remover.  Acetone which is commonly used to remove nail polish will dry out nails and that’s not going to make it healthy.

Most importantly, just let it grow.  If you follow the tips above, you would be plenty of steps closer to having those long and healthy nails.
